Hemedti vows to pursue “full liberation” as “Tasis” alliance strengthens its structures

Darfur Follow-ups – Nyala

The leadership body of the “Tasis” alliance concluded its meetings in Nyala, South Darfur, after several days of deliberations addressing political and military developments in the country, as well as organizational and political arrangements for the next phase.

Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti), head of the alliance’s leadership body, said in a closing briefing that the alliance is moving forward with what he described as a “full liberation project” with unwavering determination, pointing to what he called “field victories” in recent months. He reaffirmed the alliance’s commitment to Sudan’s unity on a voluntary basis, calling for the rejection of hate speech and racism, and the promotion of the principles of a “New Sudan.”

Dagalo explained that the alliance’s vision is based on establishing a state founded on equal citizenship within a federal system that ensures fair distribution of power and wealth, alongside building a unified, professional national army, security institutions free from extremism, and a non-politicized civil service.

He also stressed the importance of raising awareness and supporting what he referred to as the “revolutionary rifle,” affirming that “Tasis” forces will continue operations until, in his words, “cleansing all Sudanese territory of terrorist groups.”

For his part, Deputy Head of the leadership body, Abdelaziz Adam al-Hilu, praised the alliance’s leadership efforts over the past period, saying they contributed to the formation of the alliance and the establishment of the so-called “Peace Government” structures.

At the conclusion of the meetings, the leadership body approved a package of decisions, including the adoption of its internal regulations, the formation of specialized committees, and the creation of an executive committee composed of the heads of those committees, in addition to agreeing on appointing an official spokesperson and deputies.

The body also agreed to complete the structures of the “Peace Government” and its institutions, approve its 2026 program and budget, and adopt general guidelines for a workshop on ending wars and achieving comprehensive peace. It further endorsed the alliance’s external relations paper and media vision, in a step aimed at strengthening organizational structure and enhancing political performance in the coming phase.
