Renewed military aircraft bombing of the city of Nyala

This morning, the Sudanese army’s warplanes renewed their bombing of a number of rapid support sites in the city of Nyala, South Darfur state.

A source told “Darfur Follow-ups” that the warplanes targeted the vicinity of the Western 16th Infantry Division Command and the eastern neighborhoods of the city of Nyala, which were controlled by the Rapid Support Forces after the fall of the 16th Infantry Division command.

The source said, “Part of the airport and Riyadh neighborhoods, which are considered the main residence of senior rapid support officers, were struck.

It was revealed that there were varying cases of injury to civilians in the Al-Rahman neighborhoods, North of Railway station, Al-Matar neighborhood, and Al-Riyadh.

The city of Nyala witnessed fierce fighting between the army and the Rapid Support, causing casualties among civilians and the displacement of most of the city’s residents to the states of North and East Darfur after a cessation that lasted for more than a month.
