Darfur followups: Sarf Omra
Local sources reported that drone strikes carried out by the Sudanese army targeted the city of Sarf Omra in North Darfur today, Sunday, resulting in injuries and material damage among civilians.
Eyewitnesses told “Darfur followups” that the strikes hit the city’s market and the administrative unit headquarters, causing panic among residents, with no civilian deaths reported so far.
North Darfur has been experiencing escalating security tensions in recent days, amid ongoing exchanges of fire between army-allied joint forces and the Rapid Support Forces in several areas.
